Bhutan
Bhutan is estimated to be home to around 770 species of birds. Bhutan's varied elevations, ranging from subtropical forests in the south to alpine meadows in the north, create diverse habitats that support a wide range of bird species. The country's conservation efforts have made it a haven for birdwatchers and ornithologists.
The national bird of Bhutan, the Himalayan Monal, is known for its stunning multicoloured plumage. A revered and rare bird in Bhutan, the Black-necked Crane is considered a symbol of longevity and conservation.
